This is my first post on my new site, where I’ll be focusing more on the wonderful, messy, crazy world of pregnancy, birth, and newborns!

I, myself have 2 daughters, Clara (4), and Amelia (1). I also live on a bison ranch run by my husband and I in the beautiful central Texas hill country. We are very close to Austin, so that is where I primarily work.

In the spirit of the season, here’s our family Christmas photo!

If you follow me for any amount of time, you’ll know that my first daughter was diagnosed with craniosynostosis and needed two surgeries on her skull when she was 9 months and 1 year old. This experience made it clear to me that beautiful photos are so important to capture these moments in time because we are never promised tomorrow. Being faced with a major medical diagnosis for your child really changes the way you feel about material things like money because time is really want you want more of. So, as a photographer, I freeze time. The most important thing that we can never buy more of.
